An industrial vacuum pump pulls gas out of a process vessel or a paper machine's suction boxes to hold it below atmospheric pressure. DWP stocks liquid ring, rotary vane, dry screw and booster types: Nash CL-1002 and CL-10001 liquid ring pumps, Vooner FloGard VG3 and VG7 single-stage liquid ring, Busch RA0630 rotary vane, Busch Cobra NC 0400 dry screw and LX0140 units, a ULVAC PRC-012A mechanical booster, Hyvac HyperVac and a Gardner Denver Thomas two-stage pump. Liquid ring units come from pulp and paper and food plants and are the ones we rebuild most often.

Sizing and matching

The nameplate gives the model and size (CL-1002, VG7C, RA0630), the RPM and the motor horsepower. Capacity in CFM at your inlet vacuum comes from the manufacturer curve at that speed, so send us the vacuum level you run and we will confirm the pump is on its curve. For liquid ring pumps also note the seal liquid (water or process) and the material of the cone and rotor.

Condition at DWP. New means factory new and unused, in the original packaging where it still exists. New surplus means an unused storeroom spare: bought new by a plant, shelved and never installed, sometimes out of its box. Rebuilt means the unit was disassembled, inspected, worn parts replaced, reassembled and tested; a rebuilt storeroom spare was rebuilt and then shelved, never run since. Used means removed from service, inspected, tested where the unit allows it, and photographed as-is so the photos show the exact unit that ships.
