A positive displacement blower moves a fixed volume of air per revolution, so its flow follows speed and its pressure follows the system; a centrifugal blower does the opposite. DWP stocks Howden Roots RAS and RAM Whispair rotary lobe blowers (624J, 1216, 10x16 and 12x16 frames), Radar and Sutorbilt 8x20-3000 and Gardner Denver Sutorbilt 2040 positive displacement blowers with 22 inch ports, Gardner Denver GACHCSA0190 rotary lobe units at 3600 RPM, a Cincinnati SPB-12 centrifugal pressure blower with heat exchanger, and a Diamond Power soot blower carriage. Most came out of wastewater aeration, pneumatic conveying and pulp and paper service.

What to match on the nameplate

Frame size (the two numbers such as 12x16 give gear diameter and rotor length), maximum RPM, inlet and discharge port size, rotation and drive arrangement (belt or direct), and the pressure or vacuum rating. Flow in CFM at your pressure comes from the curve for that frame at your speed, so give us the RPM and the discharge pressure you run.

Condition at DWP. New means factory new and unused, in the original packaging where it still exists. New surplus means an unused storeroom spare: bought new by a plant, shelved and never installed, sometimes out of its box. Rebuilt means the unit was disassembled, inspected, worn parts replaced, reassembled and tested; a rebuilt storeroom spare was rebuilt and then shelved, never run since. Used means removed from service, inspected, tested where the unit allows it, and photographed as-is so the photos show the exact unit that ships.
