A butterfly valve isolates or throttles with a disc that rotates a quarter turn on a shaft, which keeps the body short and the weight low for large-diameter lines. DWP stocks DeZURIK BHP high-performance butterfly valves in CF8M (4 to 30 inch, CL150 and CL300, several with PMV P5 positioners), Neles Jamesbury Wafer-Sphere 815W and 8151 valves in 316SS with Xtreme seats (4 to 24 inch), Fisher 8560 butterfly control valves with 1051 actuators, and an Air Relief 16 inch inlet guide vane valve. Conditions are new, rebuilt and used.

What the tag needs to match

Size, pressure class, body style (wafer, lug, double-flanged), disc and seat material, and shaft orientation. On actuated valves note the actuator model and whether it is spring-return. High-performance (double-offset) valves such as BHP and Wafer-Sphere seal bubble-tight at rated pressure; resilient-seated valves do not, so do not mix them on the same spec.

Condition at DWP. New means factory new and unused, in the original packaging where it still exists. New surplus means an unused storeroom spare: bought new by a plant, shelved and never installed, sometimes out of its box. Rebuilt means the unit was disassembled, inspected, worn parts replaced, reassembled and tested; a rebuilt storeroom spare was rebuilt and then shelved, never run since. Used means removed from service, inspected, tested where the unit allows it, and photographed as-is so the photos show the exact unit that ships.
