An industrial electric motor turns line power into shaft power at a fixed speed set by its pole count. DWP stocks three-phase AC motors from 1/4 HP to 1500 HP: Toshiba EQP Global severe-duty TEFC units (25 to 150 HP), US Motors 200 and 350 HP TEFC, Reliance Electric Duty Master (1500 HP) and a 300 HP 4160 V Type P, WEG W22 and W21, Siemens SD100 and a 600 HP CGII at 4160 V, Baldor Super-E and general purpose, Leeson washguard and DC, plus Sumitomo and Sew-Eurodrive gearmotors. Conditions are new, new surplus, rebuilt and used.

Read the nameplate before you search

The five numbers that decide fit are horsepower, RPM (3600, 1800, 1200 or 900 synchronous), voltage (230/460 or 4160), NEMA frame (256T, 326T, 444T, S444/5T) and enclosure (TEFC, ODP, explosion proof). Frame size fixes the shaft diameter, shaft height and foot bolt pattern, so a motor in the same frame drops onto the same base. Also note service factor, full-load amps and the mounting (foot, C-face, vertical P-base) if it drives a pump directly.

Condition at DWP. New means factory new and unused, in the original packaging where it still exists. New surplus means an unused storeroom spare: bought new by a plant, shelved and never installed, sometimes out of its box. Rebuilt means the unit was disassembled, inspected, worn parts replaced, reassembled and tested; a rebuilt storeroom spare was rebuilt and then shelved, never run since. Used means removed from service, inspected, tested where the unit allows it, and photographed as-is so the photos show the exact unit that ships. Orders before 2 PM Central (parcel) or 10:30 AM Central (freight) are processed the same business day; large frames ship LTL on a pallet or skid, and we arrange the freight. Purchase orders and tax-exempt accounts are accepted.
