A gear reducer converts high-speed, low-torque motor input into low-speed, high-torque output; the ratio on the nameplate is the speed division. DWP stocks helical, bevel-helical, worm and cycloidal reducers from Falk (Ultramax, Drive One, enclosed J and FC series), Sew-Eurodrive (FA47, FH67, MC2 and MC3), Sumitomo (Cyclo 6000 at 1849:1, SM-Cyclo gearmotors, BuddyBox, Paramax), Dodge TXT225T Torque-Arm, Nord, Browning 3000 series, David Brown Radicon 9AU worm drives, Horsburgh and Scott, Cone Drive and Baldor TigGear, plus Chemineer, Lightnin and Philadelphia Mixing agitator reducers. Conditions are new surplus, rebuilt and used.

Nameplate fields that decide fit

Ratio, input speed, mechanical horsepower rating, output torque, mounting style and output shaft diameter and keyway. Worm reducers (Radicon, Browning) are quiet and self-locking at high ratios; helical and cycloidal units run cooler at continuous load. Shaft-mount reducers such as the Dodge TXT need the bushing size to match your driven shaft.

Condition at DWP. New means factory new and unused, in the original packaging where it still exists. New surplus means an unused storeroom spare: bought new by a plant, shelved and never installed, sometimes out of its box. Rebuilt means the unit was disassembled, inspected, worn parts replaced, reassembled and tested; a rebuilt storeroom spare was rebuilt and then shelved, never run since. Used means removed from service, inspected, tested where the unit allows it, and photographed as-is so the photos show the exact unit that ships. Orders before 2 PM Central (parcel) or 10:30 AM Central (freight) are processed the same business day; reducers over about 150 lb ship LTL on a skid. Purchase orders and tax-exempt accounts are accepted.
